I am actually very surprised at how many mayoral candidates voices being in favour of THIS?! The province has delayed and ruined this essential project which should be operational by now.

When replacing shingles turns into replacing an entire roof, if that an “affordable bungalow”?!

I also find it very frustrating when people assume people who can only afford an old bungalow that likely needs a lot of work have a bottomless pit of cash to do that. I know many people who bought a cheaper bungalow but could not afford the renos & issues that continued to come up year after year.

The emails from the former Manning Centre are getting increasingly unhinged.

I have had many friends buy “affordable bungalows” that quickly become unaffordable with the amount of work necessary and problem after problem coming up. Sink holes. Roofs caving in. None of that is affordable.

Farkas gave an example from the Glamorgan neighbourhood, where he said $600,000 bungalows are being torn down and replaced with $750,000 luxury condos.

The alternative to old bungalows being torn down and replaced by a number of condos or townhomes that costs roughly the same is the old bungalow being torn down and replaced by a large house that costs 3x as much.

The deployment of tear gas throughout the Chicago area is a growing health concern. ICE is deploying tear gas in residential neighborhoods, near children, playgrounds, stores, etc. What are the health implications on our communities?

I am no cheerleader for them over the last many years, there’s no need to be rude. I am married to an educator I know they have many failures. You are making many assumptions and not very nicely.

I think they do listen to members but I also think decisions have to be made. I have criticisms of the ATA but not picketing isn’t one.

I won’t stop talking about how hard this was. We even had doctor’s notes from paediatricians. I work in HC. I can’t get vaccinated until 3 days before phase 2 if I want it covered. The struggles are to manufacture low uptake… what they don’t realize is this will backfire massively on hc demand

So when uptake is very low…

It’s a nightmare. The link the govt sent me to book, said I wasn’t eligible for a Covid vaccine…. 🤦‍♀️Had to call 811 multiple times on different days to book our kids’ vaccines.
