Folks, esp those who like Gene Wolfe, do not less this novella pass you by. Yes it is a Greek retelling, but not as you typically know them, and the narrative is handled with such ambition and skill that it is humbling to read.

I asked in a DIY group if dress rental was a thing in the UK, since the resale value of wedding gowns isn't great. Rental is common in East Asia / SEA for precisely that reason.

Random thought for the day. It is really difficult to find mixed race cake topper figures, and uncommon to find non white ones. You can get them custom, of course, but the cost is pretty extortionate.
