A friend of mine is being buried today. I will be attending his wake later.

Brain cancer took him, leaving his young daughter orphaned after his wife passed of breast cancer several years ago.

F#$k Cancer is all I have to say.

Simple 3 story Inn, I kept it super basic, but was SO impressed with the final product when it was done, and that was in no way down to my skill, trust me! 🤣

I don't get nearly as much time as I would like to play with it to become skilled, but even so, never unhappy with the results I get!

I built a multi floor Inn that my players owned in full 3d, and did a walk through video like I was selling a home for them to enjoy!

From blank page to video was a couple hours maybe total.

Amazing.

Not all objects, but there have specific "Green Screen" objects that you can make your own skins for.

TBH I've not tried it much myself (not that skilled) but its in there and functional.

I did some summoning circles for fun once.

Things like walls, blocks, spheres, curves, that sort of thing.

And more, you can "Wrap" objects to making your own 3d objects.

Seriously, been using @dungeonalchemist.com since it came out, it's an absolute blast!

Even just for general plain terrain maps (which take minutes to make BTW) it's a fantastic resource!

Entitlement is a hell of a drug.

I tend to use "Hold please, DM loading" in a similar manner.

2 T-Rex models in a basic greenish brown speed paint finish and a Fat Ancient Red Dragon model in basic shades of red, a standard table top finish, nothing fancy, on a busy painting work table.

2 x T Rex and 1 x Ancient Red Dragon.

That's another 10 inches, taking me to 28 inches this year.

End of Feb target is 59 inches, so 47% there.

I've got 10 bugbears itching to get them some paint on, and a cyclops all undercoated and dry brushed ready to go.

Its not a British Thing, it's a shitheal thing.

If you ever do any reading of history, this sort of thing is really clear.

History doesn't repeat, but it does rhyme.

I'm not ashamed of this, or sad about it, I'm happy I got anything done because at the moment any step forward is worth celebrating!

That said I've got a week till the end of Feb, and I've got some big figures all ready to slap paint on, who knows what I can achieve!

12 x Rust monsters (8 in January) = 12 inches.
2 x Manticores = 4 inches
1 x Allosaurus = 2 inches

Target to date on 22nd Feb = 53 inches
Achieved = 18 inches or 35 inches behind, roughly 34% of target.

But I scrapped together some time in bits, and got the below painted so far this year.

Today I have been mostly drinking whisky, eating chocolate and playing Tomb Raider Remastered and drowning in nostalgia (and frustration).

Despite wife being a Witch and I being a Druid, we do celebrate Christmas, but does have the advantage that the "Day" itself, doesn't matter, so "Kids" off with their familys today, and we had meal and presents all together yesterday.

Ah... yeah... sorry to say, that never goes away. That and never being entirely sure if its muck on your lense or just your eyes.

I kind of just don't see it anymore.... my lenses can get so caked I can barely see before I realise and need to clean them.

As someone who has worn glasses for over 45 years, you get used to it 🤣
