Yeah I never really thought that Stede made the decision without consulting them, but I could understand how it might seem that way after seeing the send-off Ed got post gravy basket and the mixed reception he got at his return. But it feels like it was maybe complicated

I had something similar happen the other night! I brought something to my coworker and he said “my man!! I mean, my girl.” And I was “nah it’s cool I can be your man too” lol I love telling people to stop worrying when they think they’ve misidentified me as masculine 😂

He was in a unique position to understand both sides of it and he tried to find a compromise. It didn’t work, he went with the crew’s vote to boot Ed and then (maybe, we don’t know exactly) overrided the decision to bring him back. But imo you can’t say he simply didn’t care!!
