Hello! I'm Josh King, a writer of fantasy and queer furry sci-fi, currently working on my 3rd novel, a prequel to my dystopian coming-of-age war novel, Testimony. It's been a good week! There's a lot of romance in act 1 of the new novel, and it's been a fun change from the trauma.

Unpopular opinion:
No one is a warrior. Feudal romanticization of violence has irreparably damaged several generations of men that were born gentle. You were not born with a sword or a gun in your hand.  You were destined for bigger and more meaningful things than to die for an uncaring king.

Yeah, I really like how he rendered the scales!

A muscular, male werewolf stands in a forest clearing under a full moon and a misty night sky, just post-transformation. He is looking at his own hand in some surprise, noting new scales.
