Though in the world building the history of this world is that there was a pretty big was a couple of generations back so there IS potential for a non cozy prequel series

Job hunting is also basically a full time job (especially in this job market/economy).

I got laid off two weeks ago and I always thought that if I just didn’t have a day job to take up my time, I could finally write regularly, but it turns out burnout doesn’t go away overnight. Weird!

Monthly reminder: Many people have a book in them, but it takes a special kind of freak to leave the Land of Laziness, cross the Plains of Procrastination and Insecurity Mountain, find the Blade of No One Made You Do This, and use it to cut your chest open and yank that book out.

It gives my chaos brain time to work on all the fun things and then I don’t resent my main WIP for taking me away from that.

I didn’t hit this goal 100% but have been making a lot of progress!

For writing I have gotten to a really good consistency point, and worked out a pattern where I write the main project on weekdays and random shiny new ideas on weekends. I think that has helped my writing the most.

I’m tired. The high was 92 here yesterday. Idk what the real feel was but TOO HOT.

I feel this - I’ve been paralyzed by how many WIP ideas I have and finally picked the one that seems to be most pervasive in my brain space. The one that I keep coming back to every time I try to chase a shiny new idea 😅. Decided I’d better write it if I ever want to write anything else

Happy first day of Pride!

Time to get my butt and brain in gear and set some goals. Starting today and for the remainder of the year I will be:
Writing 1k words a day
Walking 20 minutes a day
Doing yoga once a day

I’ve been feeling like a 🐌 in mind and body for who knows how long. June seems like a good time for a change.

Unfortunately plotting out every story point means I won’t write at all lol.

Finding happy medium where I know the ending and some major plot points but leaving the rest up to discovery and it’s the most I’ve written in a while
