I finally managed to get my hands on an EU copy of MotorStorm - Complete Edition.

I rinsed this game back in the summer of 2007. This version contains all the DLC released for the game, additional music, and EFIGS.

So pleased to add it to my collection.

Oddsparks, released this year, nominated for the Deutsche Entwicklerpreis. I wrote on this game, too! And, being the Monáe superfan that I am, it’s exciting to see what she’s doing creatively.

Monáe and her ensemble clearly care deeply about these kinds of stories and you can feel it.

Jena Malone is frighteningly sinister as slave owner Elizabeth.

And the music by Janelle Monáe’s creative besties, Nate Wonder and Roman GianArthur, is haunting.

I’ll certainly give it a re-watch, as there’s intrigue and mysticism that it doesn’t neatly explain.

I watched Antebellum (2020) for the first time over the weekend.

An unusual film that see Janelle Monáe living as a slave on a US plantation in the past, and as a successful author championing the black perspective in the present.

Some bright moments, but its structure and ending didn’t satisfy.

We Love You, D'Angelo The beloved neo-soul pioneer and R&B innovator is dead at 51 after a prolonged, personal cancer battle.

D’Angelo made such influential music in the soul scene – the personification of cool. Every album of his captured new sensations.

I’m so gutted I never got to see him perform live.

This is heartbreaking. 😢

Each time I’ve had it for 2 or 3 months, there’s been a bunch of shows that I’ve found or friends have recommended that have been really good: Ted Lasso, Silo, Severance, Still Up, Hijack.

Right on. I didn’t start watching it until 2023. It really surprised me.

Aniston, Weatherspoon, Crudup, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, top notch.

Pittman and Lee I need to see more of.
