Most Balatro players already know this but it's mainly relevant for newer players as I have seen people not do this still. A handy tip when facing the Amber Acorn boss to get punished less.

Try not to go into a run with a plan. Let the Jokers determine your build and adapt to that instead. Even if you think a joker is "bad" give it a try anyway because it can help to learn different synergies.
