Question for #skywriters: besides the actual act of writing on your project, how do you do the deliberate practice of becoming a better writer? Do you have things you study? Ways you practice?

Yes, 12-20 weeks is what I’ve heard. I think the logic is that most miscarriages happen in that timeframe.

Devyn was issued a new Chromebook for high school that supposedly has "anti AI" software installed. I thought this was interesting (and I have not heard of anti AI software before, so it could just be school propaganda, but...).

Why doesn't Google Docs have a way to export the entire contents of a file with tabs at once? This seems like a thing lots of people would want to do?

RE: eating it, a friend of mine puts it in potato salad and it’s delicious.

My kid is big and on the summer swim team. So I have spent COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF TIME at the pool this summer. And driving too and from pools. One more day for finals tomorrow, and it starts at 6am. 🫠

I just saw a post for a book that looked interesting. No link in the post. Went to the author's bio. NO LINK in the bio to anywhere! Luckily she shared a publisher's post with a link, but DANG. Make it easier, folks.

#booksky a tip from your friendly digital marketer: If you are marketing your book, you MUST include a link somewhere — in the post, a comment on the post, or AT MINIMUM in your bio. People are lazy and forgetful. Make it easy for them to purchase.

Even if none of these recent query requests turn into anything more, the feeling of being wanted is SO VITAL to keeping one's spirits up as a writer.
