Yeah, I'm having the same issue. It started being mostly free of politics and horror, and now it's seems to be *all* politics and horror. I should really curate some lists so I can turn off the firehose of dread.

I realized I'm wearing one crew sock and one regular sock. Everything is A-OK over here. Everything is going like gangbusters.

Making maximum use of my monthly Drafthouse pass in August, it seems. I think I'm seeing everything but Lady Snowblood, which I saw recently-enough on their big-screen. Definitely seeing Ran (never seen) and Zatoichi (it's been decades).

Annoyingly, I can't find my first two Super Bowl spots. They were pretty forgettable spots for a random mutual fund, (okay, totally forgettable spots) but I'd sure like to be able to check them out again, or reference them for my reel. I worked on 6-7 more SB spots later, but those were the first.

They were playing in an art-space walking distance from my house and I had a free pass, but alas, I had to go to Las Vegas for an overnighter. I have seen them before with LA Witch and can confirm they are a good live enterprise.

I hear you. As a career agency guy, part of the gig used to be having to read (and work) a room full of creatives and CDs and occasional clients. That stuff didn't phase me because I was rock solid with my skills. I guess the "people stuff" requires practice to maintain. As I said, eye-opening.

I was surprised how awkward (and old) I felt, not having been around large groups of coworkers in so long. I was pretty uncomfortable and anxious, and my work wasn't landing as well. I was in cubicles and "war-rooms" with people over my shoulder. It was eye-opening how much ease & comfort I lost.

My only "big" contract last year was going pretty well. I was hitting my deadlines and getting on with the team. Then they decided, the week of delivery, that it was "all hands of deck" and I had to go down to live in a hotel by their campus. Suddenly I'm in an office for the first time in 4.5 yrs.

Myself as well. I thought they blew the doors off the headliners. (Although Glixen did have much cooler merch.)

I'm reasonably certain I own that, and have no memory of making a purchase decision. Do you happen to know if they were on Fuzz Club records? I used to be in their vinyl club, so I have a lot of random records they chose and sent me in my regular deliveries, so I never remember buying them.

For me it was "Black Skinhead" by Kanye. The same [tennis shoe] client would request it for every single roughcut. I get it, it was a super-aggressive hip-hop track. But there are other songs out there, and you'll never get the rights to this one so, um, how about a suggestion that actually helps?
