Scholl's memoir is a glimpse into one family's experience in Nazi Germany. Inge & her siblings were enthusiastic kids, joined the Hitler Youth, etc. But as time went on, they were disgusted by the brutality, the disappearances, the cruelty.

As an indie publisher with a strong focus on audiobooks, I agree with you. I enjoy listening to books & NEVER speed through. But a lot of people want to speed through, & a lot of people won't listen at all, preferring text. I want to see more people reading/listening to books, regardless of how.

My son is on the autism spectrum, but not because of vaccines!

Orbán is a populist. He ran as the defender of the “true” Hungarian people against liberal elites, migrants, & foreign influence. His government has consolidated control over media, courts, & civil society, weakening democratic checks & balances.
