Friday the 13th poster for part 8, where he spends a little little in Manhattan
I never really clicked with Jason 7 (the psychic one), but now onto Part 8, where they're all on a ship that boards in Crystal Lake, travels to NYC, and then ultimately ends up in Vancouver (it was just cheaper to shoot there). This is more my jam, TBH.

a group of men are sitting on a bench on the side of the road .
Alt: Jason kicking a group of "punks" boombox, in Vancouver
And now onto the lesser sequels. While many consider the "Kane Hodder Jason" era as the best (and he was great), these ones just don't do it for me, like the first six movies. We get Carrie battling Weekend at Bernie's, Jason Takes Vancouver, and Jason In Outer-space. Oh well.

a man wearing a denim jacket with a furry collar
Alt: Thom Mathews as "Tommy Jarvis" in the third of the Jarvis trilogy
And now onto my favorite Friday The 13th from the entire franchise (AND the first horror movie I ever saw as a kid at like 4 or 5), Jason Lives! Tommy Jarvis fucks around and digs up Jason, turning him into an unstoppable zombie, and we get tons of action, fun, and a precursor to "meta-horror".

That's awesome. I love this movie. When you think about it, really nothing happens (besides a twist about how "Lou" used to be racist, and a love-triangle that goes nowhere), but it's just fun watching all these folks hang out for a week at a summer camp. Every character is interesting.

a woman says " hey baby hey baby " in a movie
Alt: Demon singing to his girlfriend while taking a shit in an outhouse
I mean while it's much maligned, I really love Friday The 13th Part 5. It's got the best bewbs of the series, fun kills, colorful characters, and even Demon with his "damn enchiladas". I also just love how every time the sheriff asks "who could have done this?", they zoom into Roy's face. π

My daughter's leftover hash brown, sausage, and scrambled eggs, that I'm throwing into a burrito with some salsa and then nuking in the microwave
My wife took my daughter on their weekly grocery run, so I've got the Friday The 13th movies humming on PlutoTV, and I'm about to throw her leftovers from breakfast into a burrito wrap with some salsa for lunch, just living the dream I tell ya.

My #LastFourWatched. Nothing new this week, all rewatches so far. And likely just Friday The 13th movies today that I've already seen countless times, lol.

I've only seen this movie once, but I'm pretty sure it was because I just did not believe there was a scene with a young Beverly D'Angelo masturbating in tights on a couch, in front of some lady. And YEP, it happened, lol.

When my wife and I were looking at houses oh like 10+ years ago, we saw one that had a kitchen like that on the back and fell in love! Our realtor didn't think we'd get approved for all the loans we would need though to renovate it, because it had a LOT of leaks, unfortunately.

Still to this day one of my favorite "horror" movies. And perhaps because it tackles one of my biggest gripes with horror movies head-on: absolutely poor lighting.
It's nice when you can actually see a movie, when watching a movie.
