23.01.2026 15:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Chris Wraight is becoming one of my favourite 40k authors the more I think about it.
22.01.2026 13:33 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Just finished Ashes of the Imperium and I loved it. The tone is amazing, lot of political plots and interesting introspections.
I think you must have a good grasp of the 30k and 40k lore to understand the impacts in the big picture, so it may be a little obtuse to others but if you have go for it.
Honestly I'd love a modern take on this for my wargame and ttrpg.
21.01.2026 13:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Can't wait to see your take on the Young King. π
21.01.2026 13:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Space King hurts me because I swear there's a funny show trapped in that mess. Like they kind of nailed the absurd backwardsness of the imperium and inherent contradictions of shitty space marine fans but also they don't know how to write jokes so it's just slurs and murder

Vraiment le pire sav.
It'll have to wait. But maybe I'll take this opportunity to add some stuff to my army in the future.
I love the redesign. Totally on par with the vision I had of the custodes when they didn't have miniatures.
I want to redo my Custodes army... Oh no...
17.01.2026 08:22 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Ok, I stand corrected. Today's episode was REALLY great.
I'm still not a fan of the direction they chose for the setting but they proved they can still do great storytelling in it today.
Now I really want to hear him in some hobby podcasts (@jordansorcery.bsky.social at least) with his amazing voice.
14.01.2026 08:35 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I just read on reddit that Jes Goodwin is retiring. I don't know if it's true but congratulation to him for his amazing career.
After John Blanche and Jervis Johnson retiring too, it feels like a page is turning for GW.
In the end I think there is a confusion between "war never changes" and that the world should never changes from the apocalyptic wasteland.
For me, Fallout 2 and New Vegas were in a way post-post-Apocalyptic games were you had your input in a changing world evolving from apocalyptic wastes.
want (because the Wasteland has no future it's just locked in perpetual destruction).
(and honestly if the Wasteland is locked in perpetual destruction it actually means that in fact war has changed)
Here, the meaning is completely reversed in the end. It is no longer a characteristic of a society (including those trying to rebuild themselves), but destruction will take precedence no matter what happens, so as a player, your choices don't matter: do what you want, have fun, and do whatever you
12.01.2026 09:58 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0then as a player in the game you have to make choices (which side are you on, who are your allies, etc.) that will be important for the future of the Wasteland because there will be conflict anyway, but you can tip the balance (as an aside, New Vegas was brilliant on this theme).
12.01.2026 09:58 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0For me, the original meaning of βWar never changesβ is that it was one of the characteristics of human societies to develop/enrich themselves regardless of their status (whether they were highly developed countries or fledgling factions in ruins), and if war is inevitable,
12.01.2026 09:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I don't think the movie is good and I don't remember a lot about it (which says AA lot).
But I honestly like Chloe Zhao's naturalistic approach to cinema.
Totally but now I really think it's Bethesda's take on "War never changes".
And honestly the more I think about it the more I hate it.
I'll also correct my thread. It says one thing: whatever you try to build, destruction will always take over the wasteland.
I honestly think it's a very nihilistic and bad taste take on Fallout.
Et encore Γ§a a pas l'air d'Γͺtre autant derriΓ¨re un paywall qu'ils veulent bien le faire croire :

It's with 10
08.01.2026 13:17 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It's a little IDW comic about 20+ page. Nothing revolutionary but a nice little story.
08.01.2026 12:03 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0It reminds me of a Doctor Who one shot with an alien lived in a reversed timeline.
You could read the comics in the reverse order to understand the alien interactions.
The name was Room with a Deja View
It feels like they don't want to canonize player choices by just totally destroying everything you may have touched
Your choices are canon in a way: whatever you have done the consequences are the same... But in the end it also means nothing.
