Franchement j'ai vraiment pas aimé le début de saison mais les deux derniers épisodes sont très bons.

Chris Wraight is becoming one of my favourite 40k authors the more I think about it.

Just finished Ashes of the Imperium and I loved it. The tone is amazing, lot of political plots and interesting introspections.
I think you must have a good grasp of the 30k and 40k lore to understand the impacts in the big picture, so it may be a little obtuse to others but if you have go for it.

Honestly I'd love a modern take on this for my wargame and ttrpg.

In the end I think there is a confusion between "war never changes" and that the world should never changes from the apocalyptic wasteland.

For me, Fallout 2 and New Vegas were in a way post-post-Apocalyptic games were you had your input in a changing world evolving from apocalyptic wastes.

It reminds me of a Doctor Who one shot with an alien lived in a reversed timeline.
You could read the comics in the reverse order to understand the alien interactions.
