Rory McIlroy is captured mid-stride, already walking away from his follow-through as the ball he just struck soars through the air. This defining moment took place during the final round of the 2025 Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club, on hole 15, the par 5 known as “Firethorn.” McIlroy, wearing a blue shirt and white pants, had unleashed a massive drive that kicked left into the pine straw, leaving him a challenging angle to the green. With 209 yards remaining and low-hanging branches partially obstructing his line, he selected a seven-iron and shaped a high draw around the trees.

The photo captures him already turning away from the shot—head down, eyes forward—as the ball is still in the air. It would land just six feet from the flag, a spectacular strike at a pivotal moment. McIlroy didn’t flinch or track the flight. He knew.

This hole marked the start of his final-round charge. Sitting at -10 and trailing Justin Rose by one stroke, McIlroy birdied the 15th to reach -11. Moments later, Rose bogeyed the 17th to fall back to -10, handing McIlroy the outright lead. In that brief window, momentum swung, and McIlroy took control.

The shot became an instant classic—not just for its technical brilliance, but for what it represented: total trust in preparation, composure under pressure, and fearless execution on one of golf’s biggest stages. It was the moment Augusta held its breath, and McIlroy surged forward—calm, confident, and completely in command.

He didn’t wait to see where it landed.
He trusted the swing, the years of work, the feel in his hands.

Sometimes confidence isn’t loud—
it’s walking off before the result even arrives,
because you *know* you did it exactly right.

Believe in your prep. Trust your instincts. Swing with intention.

The Skeleton That Was 8 Different People
YouTube video by SciShow The Skeleton That Was 8 Different People

This video’s about a skeleton that turned out to be several people (and maybe some animals), and science is so earnestly into it. But I can’t stop picturing a medieval intern panic-mixing bones with Dwight Schrute logic and Michael Scott confidence.

Made a quiche for breakfast. Flaky crust, fluffy eggs, perfectly balanced flavors.
Okay, the crust was thicker than usual. And I used a lot of mozzarella.
Fine. There were no eggs. No custard. Just a crispy-edged, sauce-laden masterpiece.
Alright. I made Detroit deep dish pizza. And I’d do it again.

Call your representative today and demand action to stop this blatant abuse of power. The congressional switchboard can connect you: (202) 224-3121.

✅ Be polite but firm.
✅ If speaking to a staffer, ask for their stance.
✅ If leaving a voicemail, speak clearly and leave your contact info twice.

Trump signs executive action targeting law firm representing former special counsel Jack Smith The memo strips Jack Smith's attorney of his security clearance as well as any other attorneys at the firm who assisted Smith while he was investigating Trump.

"When Biden preemptively pardoned his family, I criticized it as an abuse of power. Now, after seeing trump use executive action to target the law firm representing prosecutors in his own trials, it seems less like overreach and more like foresight."

Me hoping my dogs never figure out their favorite treat, "icy cubes", are just crunchy water.

Mother Nature, trump's inauguration 2017: "I'm making it rain so y'all understand—the Earth is crying."
Mother Nature, 2025: "You didn’t listen? Fine. Bomb cyclone. Hell freezes over. Climate chaos unlocked."

The planet’s not crying anymore—it’s flipping the table. It's time we take the hint.

Los Angeles doesn’t need “thoughts and prayers” or more excuses for the powerful. It needs people to wake up, fight back, and hold these predators accountable before the city is sold off piece by piece.

Eat the rich? Maybe not—but it’s definitely time to sharpen the guillotines.

This is disaster capitalism at its finest—turning ashes into profit for the wealthy while working families are left homeless. So no, the problem isn’t someone grabbing a pair of smoky Jordans. The *real* criminals are the corporate parasites carving up the city for their next windfall.

Taxpayers will foot the bill for infrastructure repairs, only to watch housing prices explode and working Angelenos get pushed out. Fires may destroy neighborhoods, but it’s the greed of landlords, real estate developers, and corporate investors that will erase them for good.

As the city smolders, landlords and developers are circling like vultures. They’ll rebuild luxury fortresses in the Palisades and throw up overpriced rental towers where family homes once stood.

Faux News is frothing at the mouth over looted sneakers and smoke-damaged junk after the Palisades fire, acting like *that’s* the real crime. But let’s be clear: the *real* looting hasn’t started yet—it’s coming, and it’s not happening in the streets. It’s happening in boardrooms.

When trying to get a morning jog in it's probably not a great idea to take your puppy who hasn't been outside much in the last 3 days due to a carpal pad injury.
Mission #sniffallthethings was a great success.
