From a BBC news story: Parents should be involved in the "vast majority" of cases where a child questions their gender, according to new government guidance for all English schools. The legally-binding advice says schools should not initiate steps towards social transitioning - when pupils change their name, pronoun or clothes to reflect their gender identity - and should instead consider carefully what other support a child might need. In primary schools in particular, full social transitioning should only happen "very rarely", it says.

Even knowing this was so likely to happen… Can’t quite believe it is.

Trans+ people and cis women’s representation and human rights are NOT mutually exclusive.

Our path is a shared one. We live this together. Our causes interlink in spirit, but the worst kinds of people want our communities divided to conquer.

We must not let that happen.

I have to reel myself back from anxious activation whenever anyone, even non-transphobically, brings up cis female empowerment.
