Canada Post confirms it is laying off striking workers, union accuses management of ‘scare tactic’ Management said "a limited number of employees" have been impacted and employees who "have been laid off have been contacted directly."

Layoffs are a very aggressive move by Canada Post that seem designed to scare union members into abandoning their strike. The tactic may well backfire by generating more anger and resentment directed at management.

There was a student walkout for Palestine today at McGill and about ⅔ of my students didn’t show up for class.

The ⅓ that did show up did so because they thought it would be weird to have a walkout if you didn’t actually walk out of class.

A supermajority of the battery workers at a Kentucky plant have signed union authorization cards and are launching public campaign to join the UAW today.

The plant is owned by BlueOval SK, a joint venture of Ford and Korean company SK On.
