How many points would you bench for Dembele? Feels like he's 50:50 to even come on (1 pt), but has returned ~every 90 mins, so ~33% to return (~4 pts) if he comes on for 30 mins. I think that solves to under 2 pts EV (~1.8?)

I wonder who the buyers will be? Will there always be a Saudi League or MLS back-in-the-day who were willing to take on "bad value" players for revenue purposes? Big teams used to sell their crap to mid-table PL teams, but there don't seem many suckers anymore (BHA, BRE, BOU, FUL, CPL all shrewd)

Nice one. It's going to be very interesting how teams balance using their youth. There is increased pressure to play promising talent, and they can be tremendous value if you get solid talent for a low wage. But do you risk burning them out? Is the answer to sell earlier which helps PSR? But to who?

Now, maybe those two players are also slowing down, and their position means they don't rely on skills that fade faster (i.e. speed) but also, all these players are a lot younger than Salah or Son. Ageing curves are pretty well documented in baseball but I haven't seen much in football.

My prior was that he's "aged" quicker than most because he was so good, so early. Yet while his career mins (~40,000) are certainly high compared to fellow 30-year old Trossard (26,000), they are comparable to other 30-year olds like B Fernandes (42,000) and B Silva (37,000).

Based on the limited minutes I have seen of him this season, going with Merino over Sterling is totally understandable but man it's a bummer to see Sterling fade so fast. For me, one of the most underrated players of a generation at his peak. He only just turned 30!

Finally ahead of the curve. Watkins to Cunha -4 wasn't great - especially with Watkins' assist in GW27 - but at least I'm setup nicely for the blank. Now to quickly check in on the FA Cup happenings.
