I'm driving around Webster Groves, running errands for my elderly parents, and blasting the Painkillers in the car.
Living my own little version of Jonathan Franzen's Discomfort Zone.

Library metadata, copyright, book digitization, the public domain, music, and musical instruments. I'm in love, what's that song?

The committee from The Good Place arguing: โHe's got a point. The fair thing for us to do is just keep on giving up more and more stuff we want, unilaterally, until this demon is finally happy.โ

Here comes the cool air, the light chill of the fall
Blowing from either direction
Blowing across the yard it's crisp and it's cool
Dogs like it, as they sit around in the sun

(Bonus points for being a Russell Stover product, whose assorted chocolates were a hallmark of the holiday season.)
I know nostalgia is a trap and a liar, but...
Ratboys get better and better with every release -- "The Window" as a whole was pretty great, and this new track is just fantastic.

16.09.2025 00:15 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0What songs were 41 years old when "Mr. Telephone Man" was released in 1984? "Paper Doll" by the Mills Brothers, "Don't Get Around Much Anymore" by the Ink Spots, and "As Time Goes By" from Casablanca.

"There's now a large rug with horses and some nature scenes hanging there, which police say looks like something else used to hang there".
Following the photo's appearance, one of the sisters told the Dutch paper she didn't know what they wanted from her, nor what painting they "are talking about".
Of course, they first tried feigning ignorance:
Peter Schouten of the Dutch Algemeen Dagblad newspaper, which first reported the long-lost artwork's reappearance, said there was evidence "the painting was removed shortly afterwards or after the media reports about it appeared".
My earlier post contained an incredibly embarrassing math error, so I've deleted it to avoid shame and ridicule :-)
That said, the price of this imported item has increased 16.7% between May 9, when I took the first picture, and today.
Costco already has Christmas stuff in stock. On August 31.

I adore this group. Their sound is all over the place (everything from phonk to Shลwa era synthpop to southern praise break), but their message and perspective is consistently positive.
