Hi, I'm groofay. I'm tentatively calling my magic system the Thrum. It's sound-based, and uses the overtone series to convey emotions, messages, etc. Like in a community setting, if the default is a pure chord, someone could tug it into a dissonance to indicate distress. Among other things.

A screenshot of a package tracking site, which indicates the same package has been out for delivery three separate times over the course of around 15 hours.

I have a sneaking suspicion that there is a package that's out for delivery.

This was taken by the first violinist in my then string quartet. I was warming up with Bach. At the time I was kinda purist about these things so was holding my modern bow a fair bit up the stick to emulate a Baroque bow's weight distribution.

Also laughing kind of bitterly that Alan Moore is not credited in any form in this adaptation. Although I suppose at this moment in history, everyone who watches it knows.

I just finished watching Watchmen Chapter I, the 2024 animated adaptation of Watchmen I didn't know existed until a couple days ago. It's shockingly good, nowhere near the violence-glorifying schlock-fest Zach Snyder managed to make of it. Gonna watch Chapter II momentarily.

My characters start with an image and/or idea, and that includes the name. My MC has a pet/familiar iguana with a tree growing out of her back, whose name is Lutefisk. That's what she's been since I imagined her years ago. Whatever happens afterward grows out of that.
