Ennai's most commonly known form is a baby deer with an ink-black coat. But they are also known as the god of all faces. Ennai is a form shifter. They take on all shapes, and things that are not shapes. Ennai can be a sound. A smell. Ennai can be anything. 🧵

Nobody knows what the Trickster actually looked like or what body ze had and mythos says ze could change on a whim. Ze is not often represented in art but tends to be patchwork when shown, or bright colors.

the Trickster is one big question mark in that regard!

In art, Seraphina is depicted as a diminutive woman with pale skin and dark hair, and almost always in white robes, though the exact look of these robes would differ by the artist's culture (she is prayed to mostly just in the six nations around the Circle Sea).

So the Red Bird is the Forest God, but over time has also gotten closely associated with both tracking of human (and other sapient) history and with music, and with history told in music. Also with math because music is tangled with math, but that overlaps with the Mountains, and her scientists.

Len is associated with the fire element, along with a bunch of 'related' things: protection, destruction, the home, passion, ambition, divination, purity, and a bunch of other things. Depends on who you ask, really.

Hyrtha is most directly connected with the sea and the rising tide. She is associated with passion, ambition, and rulership, although myths vary: while her poisoning of Kermalach isn't *good*, sometimes she's got potential to be a good queen; others hold she's a spoiled shit and part of the problem

I started writing about this continent with the idea of the Forest God, so let's start with Him. He's usually called the Red Bird, because he either takes the shape of a minivet, or sends them as messengers. (He also has shown up as a human or as a spotted wildcat the size of a cottage or...)

The First is, of course, God of Magic. Magic is divided into 4 aspects: Creation, Communication, Healing, and Knowledge. These are represented as an anvil, a lantern, a flask, and a book. (But, 8 schools of magic, so 8 arms, you see?) 1/4

Judging by alpha reactions, it’s Thomas Hunt, the Everyman Bisexual who is the only normal dude in a large ham cast. He’s the one who reacts to story nonsense like you or I would, whose vision of happiness is the most ordinary, &c.

He’s not Heroic like Alexander, but that doesn’t make him unheroic.

What’s funny is that Alexander very quickly develops an in-universe reputation as a HUGE shit disturber, and even I talk about him that way sometimes.

Anger represents the deadly sin wrath. Each of the demons are the seven deadly sins, just different names. Their personalities reflect on what sin they represent

Anger only interacts with the host mostly. Though he's a special case in my novel & gets involved more reluctantly

Before their imprisonment, Life & Death roamed with the mortals, interacting with them. Most stayed close with Life & avoid Death. The Chaos Mages stayed close with Death. After their imprisonment, Life is very hands off. Death only interacting with his followers from a distance

My demons&ancients are children of Life&Death. They are spirits, having no physical form on their own. So they have human hosts, hoping for a trade with their human. They are pretty much wild cards, only focus on their human to gain their body. Sometimes they care for their host, rarely
