In my infinite clumsiness, I smeared some super glue on the new lens.
Good thing it's glass and it's quite easy to slowly remove with a metal spudger without scratching it.
The D-Pad is now perfect, by the way!

God is an SCP and needs to be contained

I noticed that this faceplate was causing the upper D-Pad to sink. I fixed it by adding three layers of kapton tape at the edge of the membrane. The only issue: I scratched the plastic lens.
So, I spent 2+ hours taking it off, sanding the old glue off and replacing it with a glass one 😁
