The end of a light colored floating dock, against the dark water of the river. On the corner sits an adult Corn Snake, head raised to catch the rising sun, as well as watching for the rowers who practice here. The snake is a beautifully patterned mix of dark brown/orange squares and chevrons, against a lighter orange body. A bit of white is visible on its throat.

A full orange solar disk. There are several small sunspot groups scattered around the disk, and one very large grouping near dead center of the disk.

As a negotiator, I disagree that "...the best strategy in a negotiation is to convince the other side that you are crazy." It's a great way, in fact, to get the other party to get up and walk away from the table. I'm guessing we'll be seeing many of our historical global partners do just that.

In the 2024 election, an outright majority of North Carolina voters pulled for Democratic candidates in both chambers of our state legislature.

And yet, Republicans still hold a supermajority of the state Senate, and are 1 seat shy of one in the state House.

Musk is holding a rally in Green Bay as part of his ongoing attempt to buy a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. In response, grassroots groups and community members will gather to protest and send a clear message: our democracy is not for sale.
