I'm me. I have opinions. You might not agree with my opinions, but that's ok. Just don't be a bonehead.

It will take a very brave person to follow this and clean up the mess. Not only will they have to deal with ICE, but also a corrupt SC, corrupt politicians, DOGE, etc.

I should add... my top up covers me 100% including dentures, hearing aids, surgery, and and and. (Basics. Not implants, cosmetic etc)
Say I end up in hospital for 10 days. I get โ‚ฌ40 a day from the top up. That's โ‚ฌ400 reimbursed to me. (Not for same day release)
That's more than I pay a year!

Yep.
We (well, most of us "oldies" at least) were actually educated properly when it comes to recognizing fascism.
Unfortunately the UK has slacked in that regard, so it's on the rise there too. #FuckFarage #FuckTrump #FuckOrban #FuckFascism #FuckDickTaters

You know why that wouldn't happen in Europe?
Because ATC isn't employed by the government.

You're probably going to have a more relaxing vacay in Afghanistan, then you would in the US.
For one thing, you won't be arrested at the entry point because you said "Taliban bad" somewhere on social media.
I guess there is more freedom of speech there, now, than in the US.

Yes, I know. Lived, worked and paid taxes in the UK for 25 years.
I will never return though.
Especially not with Fascist Farage on the rampage, but it was bad before that.
After Brexit? A neighbor told me to "fuck off back to Germany"
Not an isolated incident either, all over the UK for Europeans

My partner covered Obama for the BBC before he was Prez, when he was in the UK.
What you got is nowhere NEAR what he wanted for the American people. You have to thank the Republicans for killing 90% of what he wanted for you. What he managed to get through is barely a fraction of what he wanted.

That's one thing that surprised me when I moved to France.
it's a 70/30 split on healthcare (if you are diagnosed with cancer etc, it's 100% free) so you get a top-up insurance to cover the 30% (โ‚ฌ27/m for me) but it covers dental, hearing, and everything. Glasses? Dentures? Free, with the top up.

"I don't want to pay for other people" -- that's your problem.
In every European country there is a social tax that covers healthcare. I'm in France, 70% is covered, with 30% voluntary top-up insurance. My monthly top-up is โ‚ฌ27. That covers me to 100%. For everything. Dental, Hearing, Doctor.

People forget -- or have never been taught (seeing as US education on how fascism starts is nonexistent) that the first country Hitler (who was AUSTRIAN) invaded wasn't Poland.
It was Germany.
It took him 5 years to gain full control over the German population.
At this rate? Trump will do it in 2.

On that second pic... have a chat with France.
They still got some of those. I'm sure someone would sharpen it for you.

What do you mean, "gets"?
I'm 100% convinced he already has dementia, and had it the day he was elected.

She's constantly making me lose my place, which is probably a good thing.
Can't doom while the page is scrolling.

My barn cat, Squeeky, came with the house. The previous owner just left her behind.
It took a year to gain her trust.
Now? She follows me when I go into / through the woods or down the back pasture to check on the horses, meowing all the time, just in case I leave, I guess. :)
Which I won't. Ever.

Is it any wonder that her generation wanted better and less hardship for their children? Isn't that what every generation tries to do?
Next time you call someone "boomer", think about that.
They didn't have it easy. They lived through war.
My grandmother went through 2 World Wars.
So "easy".

When I hear "Boomer", I think of my grandmother, who was the generation before "Boomer".
She told me the best birthday present she ever got was...a washing machine. She was 96 at the time. (1990's)
The first time she SAW a car...she was 16.
Listening to how she grew up was a revelation.
