yeah. and its hard to blame d'maro or iger for this when its the only resort this is happening too.

currently, its lay-offs, reducing staffing, reducing character offerings, and reducing park hours.

but also none of the problems that were introduced during the Potrock era have been solved (cut entertainment / bad maintenance). Yeah theyre building some new rides, but the experience is lacking.

The fact that you can stare at this icon for hours, and still notice new things makes this an easy pick for me.

But I do love Spaceship Earth 💙.

its been getting harder and harder to argue that Disneyland is the better resort, something i've firmly believed since my first visit. But when WDW is extending park hours, giving older attractions maintenance, adding new entertainment, and prioritizing the guest experience (and Disneyland is not).

Somehow, Mazloum is a worse president for Disneyland than Potrock was. let's just bring back Michael Colglazier 😭😭😭

Fastpass+ is still my least favorite system. This current Lightning Lane Multipass at WDW is second least favorite.

Maxpass and Disneyland's Multipass reign supreme.

the lightning lane complaints piss me off, because besides paying for it and the addition of ILL, it's the *SAME EXACT* system as Fastpass+ which yall raved about.

i have the conspiracy theory that the dragon burning down in fantasmic was an inside job and now disney is purposely making the show worse and worse bc they dont want to pay for it anymore. and closing the show when its in a sad state would go over better than if it closed in a pristine state.

theme park people online keep begging Universal to buy Warner Bros, and i'm so tired of it. Their only comment is that if it happens they can make USH bigger. like yall there is more to life than theme parks. Think of how many people will be out of a job,& movie quality/quantity will decline.

it's not universal shilling to acknowledge that one company builds way faster.

you can tell jollywood nights sales are soft bc they basically completely redo this event every year meanwhile MVMCP is the same as 2006.

its interesting how we are in the era of disney parks where the placement of a rock next to the pathway has an elaborate story of how that rock got there, but then they're also like "hey, this wood carver just really likes disney movies, and he made a carousel for some reason".

iger buys up properties, then milks them to the point where the general public don't cares about them.

look at marvel, star wars, and to a lesser extend, pixar original movies.

im a huge proponent to taking away 3D from rides that don't need it, but this is going to make an already mid ride even worse. the rooms with the screens are too barren to make it feel like youre not just looking at a movie.

The only attraction I could imagine using this for is Hagrid's or Ministry of Magic, neither of which would probably ever be offered (and if it is, it'll be at least $50).

$24.99 is pretty excessive, but i also think it's a high enough price to discourage all but the once-in-a-lifetime tourists so 🤷‍♂️. I'd rather these higher prices than Disney's too affordable system.

idk why but i woke up this morning and decided that im excited for muppets rock n roller coaster and think it was a good consolation prize for closing Muppets Courtyard.

so it seems like the only dark ride in Universal Kids will be Shrek. Excited to get a dark ride, but bummed they cancelled that rumored spongebob one.

I think if they took it over, it would pretty much be a complete demo except for a few buildings that would be rethemed. That whole entry street can be re-skined.

I would think it would be easier to build a park here than in a brand new place. This already has community and government support.

Plus if they build it at SF America, there is the slightest hope that Wild One can remain. Plus there are many buildings they could reuse & reskin. This assumes SF doesnt just demolish the whole thing.
If I was Universal I would snatch this land in hopes, and then sell it if it doesnt work out.

I personally feel like DC is the farthest north they can go. As you said, Philly has Sesame Place, plus NYC has Legoland, and anything farther north would have to be a seasonal operation. It's also still within driving distance of a good portion of the Northeast.

I hope this is successful and that Universal builds this on the land Six Flags America sits on.
The county has made it clear they do not want to rezone the land, and having recently been to the park, the amount of families with young children i saw exceeded any other six flags park ive visited.
