Had a very nice week off work with my wife. Spent some time in North Berwick and then Anstruther. Weather was oddly quiet but very pleasant. Avian highlights included a day count record of 31 Pomarine Skuas at Fife Ness, a Grey Phal, two Balearic Shears, a White-billed Diver and a Glossy Ibis. Braw!

Brilliant, Fraser! I was all geared up for a five hour trip to Yorkshire on Saturday, but it didn't show. Now, I might need to gear up for a five hour trip to the Highlands! What a bird to find! 💥

I've seen them hunting pink feet a couple of times. Even saw one strike a goose hard, but fail to knock it out the sky once. Maybe this goose was exhausted and weakened after migrating?
