I recently discovered The Furlites of Aroriel: Earth-bred, Matissia-born, and what immediately captured my attention was the originality and emotional depth of its premise particularly the idea of a dying Earth-bred Maine Coon giving rise to a new, telepathically bonded species on an alien world.
