fallout show has people posting about new vegas which always reminds of this quote from the new vegas DLC, which unironically got picked up by the self help community like he's a real go getter and not a militant cult leader in a computer game

This is "I know that Jesus is a magic demigod, and the important thing is to show God the respect that he deserves", but actually the story of the Nativity is, "I don't know who this stranger is, but I can see they need help, and I'm going to be compassionate whether he deserves it or not."

You sometimes get a bunch of Christians who fixate on the idea that the manger is where the animals go, and like, "look how humble the origins of Jesus are" or even "look at the disrespect Jesus endured even as a baby" and of course this is all backwards.
