This isnโt the government investing in childrenโs future, itโs an investment in tech companies.
A depressing look at the labyrinth of AI slop courses being shoved at people under the guise of education. You don't learn any actual, useful skills from them

14.01.2026 16:54 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0roleplay moments is nice, especially for groups where that doesn't come naturally.
- Setting specific: I like the Huckster magic in Deadlands (not the new version, their first go at it). Gambling with the devil for success is always fun.
- I find it pretty quick to get a game up and running, even...
- Generic powers combined with trapping let's your magic/power users feel unique. Two players might have "bolt" but one it might be fire and another cold, with appropriate effects. (Though the newer editions have lost some of this a bit for me).
- Interlude- using a card draw to create space for...
fail.
- The fact dice can ace means there's always a chance of success, even if you're not great at something so it's worth a try!
- No set progression path - you can start out building, saying, a gunslinger, but that doesn't stop you later focusing on melee capability if you want...
I play a lot of Savage Worlds (its the system I started with too) and while its flawed, it has some things I really like:
- Hindrances chosen during character creation - I find it helps round out characters
- The fact you increase die type, rather than a set bonus means there's always a chance to...
Thats SO awesome!

03.01.2026 20:54 โ ๐ 111 ๐ 8 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 1OF THE EMPIRE We will be known as a culture that feared death and adored power, that tried to vanquish insecurity for the few and cared little for the penury of the many. We will be known as a culture that taught and rewarded the amassing of things, that spoke little if at all about the quality of life for people (other people), for dogs, for rivers. All the world, in our eyes, they will say, was a commodity. And they will say that this structure was held together politically, which it was, and they will say also that our politics was no more than an apparatus to accommodate the feelings of the heart, and that the heart, in those days, was small, and hard, and full of meanness.
Ever relevant, this poem by Mary Oliver, especially today.

This is a screenshot from the video game "Fallout: New Vegas" featuring a character named Joshua Graham. 23.12.2025 16:36 โ ๐ 574 ๐ 63 ๐ฌ 5 ๐ 7You sometimes get a bunch of Christians who fixate on the idea that the manger is where the animals go, and like, "look how humble the origins of Jesus are" or even "look at the disrespect Jesus endured even as a baby" and of course this is all backwards.
