Vindman Joins 214 House Democrats in Urging USDA To Fund SNAP During Ongoing Government Shutdown Washington, D.C. — Today, Congressman Eugene Vindman (Va.-07) joined Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Nutrition and Foreign Agriculture, Congresswoman Jahana Hayes (Conn.-05), House Committee on Agriculture Ranking Member Angie Craig (Minn.-02), and 212 House Democrats in sending a letter to U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Brooke Rollins urging the agency to use contingency reserve dollars to fund the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) during the ongoing government shutdown. Without immediate action, SNAP funding will lapse on November 1, putting 42 million children and families at risk of going hungry. Current reserves could cover nearly two-thirds of a month's benefits. The Senate needs to vote (over 60 votes) on a DEM bill that will add back the support for the ACA. That would force the House back. They would have to negotiate on it.

The Virginia GOP has tried to show Sears as a moderate and sweep her extreme views under the rug, like they did w Youngkin. She’s so extreme and has such a long history of a disturbing, outdated agenda, donations and votes.

Sears is against women controlling their own reproductive care - birth control, IVF, Plan B and abortion. This limits the economic freedom of Virginia’s women, their families and their communities. Sears is too dangerous to run our state.

Youngkin lied to get elected and has lied non-stop while in office. He’s as narcissistic as Trump and has done nothing positive for Virginians. It’s all about reducing his own taxes!

Trump is also Chief Justice. SCOTUS has rendered themselves useless.

We need to fight back like CA. This is an authoritarian takeover by MAGA. They are never gonna leave. 2028 will be too late.
