Picture of a smiling person holding up a copy of a book.
First copies of my book are here!! As a new faculty member, I realized that in addition to my research job, I also had a leadership job…and I wasn’t prepared for that.
This book is the guide I wish I’d had then, with the goal of helping others now.

Thanks, Fred! It looks like 's SW_p' just displays the 'processing' spectral width but does not permit modification. 's swh' works once I changed the DIGTYP to DRX. C'est bizarre!

Of course, folks don't frequently play around with the spectral widths. But it is quite common when we have interactions evolving in a 2D that are scaled, which we frequently encounter in solid-state NMR (e.g. homonuclear decoupling, MQMAS etc.).

It used to work fine on the older versions of Topspin but it doesn't work anymore.
Anyway I just figured it out. It looks like the saved DIGTYP (s DIGTYP) needs to be switched to the default DRX. It works once that's fixed! This might be specific to that particular acquisition setting.

The series of TopSpin issues continues. I have TopSpin 3.7.0 installed on a Win11 virtual machine on my Mac. Although it reads shows the spectra, it doesn't read the other data (proc or acquisition parameters). Error message attached.

Looks like both Topsin versions 4.4.1 and 4.5 have this problem. The link to download Topspin 3.6.3 on this page does not work. @brukercorporation.bsky.social

Ran into a bug with Topspin 4.4.1 on Mac. I cannot change the saved spectral width of spectra (s swh). Is there a solution? @canklin.bsky.social #NMRchat
