The Toronto record for most consecutive PA reaching base safely is 11 held by the late Tony Fernandez. He set this mark May 6-8 & 11, 1999 (he did not play May 9). Fernandez went single, single, double, double, single, single, double, walk, hit-by-pitch, rested 1 game, then single, walk.

Bo Bichette (9) just broke a tie with 4 other Blue Jays for most consecutive AB with a hit. Adam Lind was the most recent Toronto batter to record 8 straight hits (June 3-4, 2009 vs. Los Angeles Angels).

This is the 1st time Toronto (63-42) has been at or above .600 win% after 100 reg. season games since 1992-08-06 (65-43) when they defeated ... Detroit at Tiger Stadium in a wild 15-11 game. HoF pitcher Jack Morris won his 14th game for Toronto that night.

When you omit "A Black man is getting a standing ovation in the Deep South for breaking a record of an all-time baseball idol," you completely alter what Scully was describing as "marvelous." Scully was NOT just broadly marveling. He was marveling at a very specific, very important thing.

MLB Draft Tracker The official draft tracker of the Major League Baseball draft including ranking, schools, and draft order.

Disclaimer: we're not name snobs, but half the fun of following the MLB draft is seeing the names of the Gen Z youth. So far we've had Kade, Jace, JoJo, Kyson, Kayson, Tate Southisene. But 6'8" Oregon left-hander Kruz Schoolcraft has the sweetest name thus far.
