24.02.2026 21:00 โ ๐ 311 ๐ 46 ๐ฌ 5 ๐ 0The bookies odds reflect bets in a relatively small market. They aren't an opinion poll I have Labour at 11-1 from 2 weeks ago so the bookies clearly think the race is tightening ..

23.02.2026 19:34 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0These people are poison. They will unleash racist thugs on the streets of this country and call it security. They will subjugate us to the US and call it patriotism. They must be stopped. There is no more important task in politics.

Grim. One can only imagine what passes for โbanterโ or โlocker room talkโ when these ghouls converse in private.

19.02.2026 10:19 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Wes Streeting, Health Secretary: "Farage has announced his Shadow Cabinet, with no Health Secretary.
Presumably because if he becomes Prime Minister, thereโll be no NHS."
Labour are once again favourites with Ladbrokes to win the most seats at the next General Election - narrowly.
Labour at 13/8 with Reform at 7/4 (14/8) and the Conservatives at 11/2
The election is probably over three years away: Reform lead the polls, but have dipped to 28% from 31%
What a very silly, naive and self regarding person. Why cut off a route to power 3 years from a GE. Will he do a deal with Farage, Badenoch?

It's not just dropped. It's lower to concerted action by government. I'm for planned immigration driven by fairness, humanity and economic need. The resources of the state need to be applied to social housing and tackling poverty.
Tax paid by migrants will pay for this . it's a win win.
Perhaps it's because FibDems are Tory enablers who'll say anything to anyone to get a vote and for whom principles are something they leave at home. Here in Manchester they talk about the need for social homes but campaign against them wherever they are proposed.
14.02.2026 15:45 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Don't agree. I think Labour is about creating a system of rules that isn't open to gaming and abuse. If a government can't control its borders is it actually a government at all?
14.02.2026 15:38 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I think the last GE and the recent by-election in Caerphilly showed the electorate can sometimes work it out and form their own alliance !
14.02.2026 15:35 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It would be an endorsement of Manchester Labour which would be a good lesson for Labour more generally. Economic success in the service of the people of the city based on strong labour values of inclusion and equality.
14.02.2026 14:16 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0So should we not campaign and let the Greens have a free run? This is Labour City. Perhaps they should step back? Greens used to be very fond of talking about progressive alliances. Never seen them walk the talk when they had a sniff of power.
14.02.2026 14:13 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0There's a lot of people who don't live there, never been there, couldn't find Denton if they tried and can't pronounce Levenshulme who seem very certain..
14.02.2026 10:39 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Very tight. Anyone who claims to know is well, a bit silly. Tales of Labour collapse are overstated, Manchester Labour is no Starmer cut out, Andy B has been there throughout the campaign and the Labour ground operation is well organised. Goodwin the fascist is not going down well in these parts.
14.02.2026 10:37 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The Labour vote seems a good deal less soft than many people in the media who don't live there and have never been there seem to suggest ... Manchester Labour is a strong, successful ' brand'.
