I've definitely been guilty of a bit of vegetative electron microscopy, those late night elemental maps on an old LaB6 'scope definitely warranted a few naps between drift correction stage bumps. Not sure if I'd brag about them in the method section though. retractionwatch.com/2025/02/10/v...

My favourite view of the microscope 🔬, with it's pants off!! This is a JEOL F200 transmission electron microscope (TEM) and under the table you can see the CMOS camera made by Gatan which we use for imaging and 4D STEM!

Thanks Jamie! The energy spread is tied up in the "focal spread" variable for simplicity, but maybe V2 will expand that out and have more adjustable variables...
