Completely agrees. Americans need to approach politics as necessary, practical but ALSO aspirational. Never forget that AMAZING things have been accomplished through government in the US- Infrastructure, housing, education. We can have that again, with honest intentional politicians.

You are one of my favorites in the senate. Your focus on climate change and corruption in The Supreme Court has been essential. But the senate actions disrespect the democratic base, and underestimate the rage of the American people at the inequality which is causing real harm.

We need fighters in the senate. I just used @5calls.org to call my senators- @alsobrooks.senate.gov and @vanhollen.senate.gov. Glad to say both of them are fighters. My neighbors and friends are currently laid off. We need z59 get a real concession from this pain…

I agree with Kevin. Somehow liberals/progressives have gotten labeled as extreme for drawing a line at dignifying everyone’s humanity. It’s effective messaging and we need equally effective messaging to counter it.

The thing that this demonstrates most is that you cannot rely on what he will do in the Senate. He is either gullible or a liar. In any circumstance, his voting will be unpredictable- like Fetterman.
