A table is set for a meal. Six children are gathered around it and mother stands leading the saying of grace. Everybody lowers their heads in prayer heads except granny, sitting in the corner who looks up with a crafty expression.
Questions Ladybird never answered.
Was Granny being subversive?

A Pied Oystercatcher with distinctive black and white plumage, bright orange-red bill, and pink legs stands on rocky coastal terrain with water visible in the background. White text reads "PRACTICE STAYING STILL" as the headline, with instructions to find a comfortable spot and stay quietly for ten minutes. Text in the lower right reads "It's worth it, we promise." Yes we have grey shrikethrushes, they have a lovely song, and they return to the same nest every spring. Though I can't tell if it's the same pair. You can hear them on the Merlin app, but you have to search for gray, not grey.

The photograph, taken from a low angle at eye level, presents a flock of Australian white ibis birds wading in the shallow, sandy waters of a light blue lagoon. The blurry background features a light-brown, sandy bank and additional ibis birds in the distance. In the foreground, four birds take centre stage. On the left, two birds are intently searching for sustenance, their long, downward-curving beaks either submerged or close to the water's surface. To the right, two more ibis birds have their beaks open, seemingly in search of food. The birds' bodies are predominantly white, contrasted by black feathers on their backs and black, featherless heads and necks. Their legs and beaks are also black. The scene is bathed in the warm light of sunset.

The head of the rainbow lorikeet is deep blue with a greenish-yellow nuchal collar, and the rest of the upper parts (wings, back and tail) are green. The chest is orange/yellow. The belly is deep blue, and the thighs and rump are green. The flower spike is a lime green colour. In the distance the sea can be just made out.
