Was always going to happen at some point. But they should switch to a size and weight based tax, on vehicles that damage the roads most.

The tax should be higher for heavier and larger vehicles. They are the ones that cause more damage to the roads and to any other road user they collide with, take up more space when parked, and encourage a sense of privilege. Reduce tax for small cars.

Looking at our colonial history, a lot of the time it was the Brits! The ones who came from those quiet sleepy towns.

It depends on the list issued by the church. Our list will depend year to year, on whether we give to a foodbank, homeless charity, or something else. Some charities include toiletries on their lists. Check the church website or fbk page?

The govt says the point of digital ID cards is to prove right to work. But all jobs require RTW now. You need a UK pport/driving licence/ birth cert etc or other docs to prove you have the RTW in the UK. What diff do they think it will make? Businesses that don't check this now still won't.

The Palace and no10 will arrange between them. The PM will say what s/he is trying to achieve and give steer on lavishness and content. Pretty certain it would cause constitutional issues for the Palace to say no about a political event. The monarch is supposed to be officially politically neutral.
