Been reading more about the idea of AI as a #Scrum team member & it got me thinking about what sort of team member they'd be. They aren't proactive. They only do something when explicitly asked. ✅ They aren't good at asking follow-up questions to help clarify what they're being asked. ✅ When they come across an issue, instead of asking for help, they just brute-force-bullshit their way through the problem so they can deliver something and then leave it for others to fix things. ✅ Are overconfident in their ability to do the work. ✅ Think it's all about writing code instead of what value I'm trying to deliver. ✅ Umm, that's a sort of team member I can do without, thank you very much. Thoughts on AI as a scrum team member, from Mastodon:

Modularity comes with seams; either you create the seams on your terms, or you accept the consequences.

Compartmentalize, scoping to what's both known and measurable (in terms of impact and success). If positive impact can't be attained, it's much easier to separate at seams and abandon or replace. Requires a good architect and great communication with the business.

I had an issue like that once (also with XPS 15), it was just that the battery got too hot, expanded and pushed against the trackpad to make it think it was terminally pressed. Maybe replace the battery?

I had a similar experience with some code that had an overridden operator== that handled nullables but not a operator != that handled nullables.
