UPDATE: ACCORDING TO THE FEDERAL REGISTER IT IS SUPPLIERS, NOT NEW PATIENT ENROLLEES.

This is still very bad, but less overtly bad.

ICE deportation flight leaves NH after 31 hours, exposes chronic problems Local officials, activists and a former Omni flight attendant slammed the airline and ICE's decision not to cancel the scheduled deportation.

NEW FROM ME: The deportation plane stuck in the blizzard took off this morning after 31 hours, but not before exposing a much bigger problem with exceedingly long delays on ICE flights.

This.

Again, if the topic of discussion is the intersection of racism and ableism, in particular, anti-Black racism and Tourette syndrome with coprolalia, listen to people who have expertise and lived experience with both.β™₯οΈπŸ‘πŸΏ

The Ford Pinto had a death rate of 85 people for 10 million cars sold. The Cybertruck hasn't sold 10 million, but the fatality rate so far maths out to 1,452 people killed per 10 million sold.

The Cybertruck may be the deadliest road car, for the occupants, ever sold.

BAFTA and BBC Let the N-Word Air on Tape Delay β€” Michael B. Jordan, Delroy Lindo, the Tourette’s Community and Viewers Deserve an Apology A Tourette’s-related outburst of the N-word aired during the BAFTAs despite tape delay. Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo are owed an apology.

"The BBC and the BAFTAs behaved appallingly, with horrific consequences for Jordan, Lindo, and Davidson" pretty much summed up my reaction to the events of last night before I read this very very good essay that reached similar conclusions in a very thoughtful way.

You may have heard it before, but let me repeat: repetition of statements makes people more likely to rate them as true (even if they are false, and even if you knew they were false initially).

Rather than ascribing agency to machines that are built by other humans getting rich off of doing that, we should ascribe the agency to those humans and talk about what they're doing via their companies: stealing data, killing the environment, exploiting labor, and deceiving the public.
