14.03.2025 14:39 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0You can really see the ONDP’s seat efficiency at play in the seat by seat results.
Some crazy stats:
- % of ridings where the candidate got under 20% of the vote : OLP-23%, ONDP-69%.
- % of >40% ridings where the candidate won : OLP-45%, ONDP-96% (only Sault Ste. Marie missing for the NDP)
The number of mail in votes in each riding is provided by Elections Ontario here: www.elections.on.ca/en/resource-...
01.03.2025 04:06 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Anything over under a 10pt jump seems pretty unlikely to me, so I think it’s safe to say the OLP holds Ajax, which means a min of 14 seats. And a few others certainly have potential to flip their way.
01.03.2025 04:06 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I say *very* rough because this assumes that the other candidates (3rd, 4th, etc) take a similar share of the mail in votes as in the rest of the votes.
01.03.2025 04:06 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Ok Ontario election people. Using a *very* rough estimation, this is the % of vote needed by each 2nd place party in the mail in ballots to flip a currently uncalled seat. The (+x) refers to the difference in the needed in the mail vote and the vote counted so far. #onpoli

28.02.2025 03:55 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Not only is this the highest liberal number in quite some time ; It is the best poll for the liberals, in terms of popular vote, since BEFORE the 2021 election. 👀

True, there’s no guaranty things will improve. But staying on the current course is guarantied disaster.
(Note that it’s nothing personal against him, politics just sucks sometimes)
Sign to help reverse the provincial government’s reduction of requirements for teacher certification (they removed ALL subject-area requirements).
