SF Streamlined Its Street Teams. Now, Fewer People Are Getting the Help They Need Street medicine outreach workers describe a new, expensive, and disorganized program that lacks clear objectives.

For months I've heard crazy stories about SF's reorganized street medicine teams, which are now forced to focus on "the list" β€” a small number of homeless folks who've annoyed politicians or angry neighbors.

This means every day they have to drive past people in urgent need of medical care. 1/3

It is especially dumb considering some of these same tools end up in Apple Stores all over the world to facilitate repairs ranging from changing batteries to swapping screens.

Former Apple engineer here that has visited the Foxconn factories in China multiple times around the 2010-2015 time frame. None of the tools used in assembly of an iPhone require β€œsmall hands”. Designing fixtures to require a certain stature is an idiotic thing to do.

Analog filters, part 2: let it ring A continuation of the gentle intro to analog signal filtering. In today's episode: transfer functions and the Sallen-Key topology.

A (fairly) gentle intro to transfer functions and resonant filters: lcamtuf.coredump.cx/blog/rc-filt...

To fully appreciate it, you'd probably need to be up-to-date on the preceding article, linked on top.

A screenshot of TOS About website, showing a list of companies in a left sidebar, and a human friendly summary of their terms and conditions on the right, highlighting the good, the bad and the ugly, with a grade. In this example, Adobe has a 1/7. Companies are rated using emojis, from poo emoji to puking, and being sick emoji.

Do people read the terms and conditions before clicking accept?
I assume most don't, and even when we do, those are digest. TOSAbout is a list of company terms and conditioned, explained in simple language, to understand how shady those are, before you click β€œaccept”

That should work. There are no mitigations and I believe DPA attacks have worked against slightly newer silicon than that. Might need a lot of traces though.

A half-open pill organiser with deep places for pills, two for each day. It consists of a bright aluminium pill tray (with a handle that has an image of Photographotter's sona engraved onto it), which slides out of a matte black plastic housing. Inside each pill pocket is an orange plastic liner, perfectly sized for the many pills contained in them.
