I should note that the provincial and territorial govt’s administer each region’s health care programs. Some offerings differ depending on where you live. For example, coverage for specific fertility treatments differ widely across the country. Some cover with limitstions, others not at all.

🧵I mention civics education because we can’t have a productive discussion about anything if Canadians lack current knowledge of how Canadian govt is structured, how our daily lives are actively governed by what moves through those processes and how. Esp in comparison to how the US system works.

I’d start with significantly strengthening civics education. How can Canadians remember how Canada functions when constantly overrun by US govt structures, processes, and language in our media?

eg: We don’t vote for a PM and our PM can’t change our laws or “freedoms” by Executive Order US style.
