As someone on the development side, I also wish there was more critical dialogue around games. Good criticism pushes a medium forward. Treating games like a gray, consumable product does an injustice to everybody involved.

If you're interested in the period of history when Indy and the Great Circle is set, I highly recommend The Pope and Mussolini by David Kertzer. It covers a lot of the rise of fascism in Italy and Europe, and it's really well written and engaging. I actually got quite emotional by the end 😅
