So Gay For You by Leisha Hailey and Kate Moennig
This book is the inside look that I didn't know I needed. It's so delightful to see the two women grow into more mature and experienced humans. Also, they have a podcast now?! Very cool.

Ask Not: The Kennedy's and the Women They Destroyed - Maureen Callahan
I liked hearing the different stories but felt it was disjointed and hard to follow. Overall I would recommend the print version over the audiobook.

I'm actually not sure. There were a few that really caught my ear that I would love to hear again but I'm not sure of their names. I'm the worst at remembering names of things. I can't even put names to faces when it comes to celebrities. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult
I read this a long time ago & felt it was worth another read. It did not disappoint. As a parent this time around, I struggled w putting myself into the mom's shoes. Part of me having a 3rd kid was trying to get stem cells for my cancer kid

High School - Teagan and Sara Quin
Listened and am smitten w their musical progression throughout the book. Idk if it already exists but I'd love to have each of their tracks played throughout the book to be compiled together as an album, like High School sound track?

13 Ways of Looking at a Fat Girl
This book was hard to read because of how sad I felt imagining the mental health issues of the MC and seeing the struggles. I think watching the slow deterioration made it even harder.

I think that's why I'm so disappointed by this book, because I was really impressed by the Tao te ching and I feel like the Tao of Pooh missed the mark

The Lost Story - Meg Shaffer
I absolutely loved the queer, poly love story found in this adventure. Having characters that align with beliefs that aren't just "the norm" is refreshing and so fitting for a fairy tale as well. The ending was *chefs kiss* too.

Continued
He puts down academia, having personal drive, or passion, slams time management practices as a whole and would rather people be "an uncarved block" rather than to have a sense of individuality.
I've read the Tao te ching previously and loved it. This was not that. Will reread tao te ching

The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff
The author seemed judgmental. Encourages people not living life & judging others for how they live. Also concepts I hear repeated by the alt-right about "accepting nature" and having little to no concept of nuance or balance. Cont.

Chronicals of Narnia - C.S. Lewis
This is one of those works that if you watch the movie, it ruins the book. I watched long long ago and felt like reading the book would be wonderful, but I had a hard time getting through it.

The Testaments by Margaret Atwood
I found this to be an interesting wrap up of the original story. I liked what happened with June and her kiddos but don't want to spoil anything.

Rereading this in the morning instead of the middle of the night when I posted, it should have read "it was a small leap" not "no small leap". Please excuse my lack of abilities to write in the middle of the night.

The Big Fix - Holly James
If you're someone who likes romance and action, this is for you. I found the book hard to put down. I love the realistic parts, such as the insecurity that things between the main characters were a result of circumstance rather than love.

Hum by Helen Phillips
This book is odd and yet profound. When looking at our world today & the integration of AI, it's no small leap to get to the setting this book takes place in. It's so relatable being a parent in today's world and having to adapt to tech.

One of us is Back - Karen M McManus
I love this series with how interconnected the story is and seemingly minor characters involvement in the bigger web of happenings.

Since the weather drastically cooled, yesterday I picked all the bell peppers, ancho peppers, Anaheim peppers, and tomatoes that were still growing in the garden. What to do with them? Chili. I made two pots, one that's not spicy and one that is. I love chili/soup season.

How in the world is this helpful when the highest position in the executive branch has been doing exactly that without any guardrails? People take their lead from our highest leader, and our whole country is a shit show currently.

I will say it's a good message. It would be helpful for those who get caught up in ppl pleasing, other people's opinions, whether or not they have likes on socials, or if included in the friend group, etc.

The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins
Recommended by a friend. DNF'd because the message wasn't profound or helpful to me, but a lot of "well, yeah." I felt the message of "don't let others waste your brain power and time" could be used by returning the book asap.

Artificial Condition by Martha Wells
2nd in the series. Probably not going on in the series as I just don't find the plot interesting enough. Seems the MC is lost, and the story feels like it's all fluff and little substance.

My son introduced me to this series. The first book felt unfinished, which makes sense as it's a part of the series. I don't find myself immersed or excited to continue. I'll still move into book 2 and see.

Trying to improve my health and come off chemo, I've been trying to eat an anti-inflammatory diet. Today's breakfast: sauteed cauliflower on eggs over easy. Extras in there are onion, cilantro, garlic, salt and turmeric.
I'd love more quick meal ideas, since there's nothing easier than junk food.

The Ottoman empire was land (and people's) taken over by force, by Muslims. That would have been in violation of our scriptures. People do stuff all the time that doesn't align with religion, in the name of said religion. Idk if I'll ever be able to make that make sense.

As a Muslim - real talk. The Quran even states this in chapter 109, but specifically verse 6. "To you be your religion, and to me my religion."
I wonder if there's something similar in Christianity? Everyone needs to learn to live and let live. That's what Liberty is, correct?

Undistracted by Bob Goff
I borrowed this title on Libby b/c of the cover. I didn't realize it was so Christian based. As a Muslim, it could mostly translate to my belief system.
Good stories in the book. Felt like listening to an older wiser human who feels warm. Recommend
