Hi, years ago Makary published a book about health care reform that I appreciated. But he has changed, apparently.

If it was wrong 8 months ago, it is still wrong.

After 9-11, US operatives rounded up foreign nationals in their own countries and brought captives to Guantanamo for interrogation and sometimes torture. The US is a torture state, and does not stand on a higher moral ground. Not then; not now.

Avoiding a humanitarian crisis is good for US national security. It serves us in a cost effective way.

I have followed and admired Dr Makary for years. He is not the biggest problem in this administration by a long shot.

At some point, these statements can and will be used against him in a court of law. Because we support the American Constitution
