Leeds households encouraged to sign up for car sharing experiment
Families, friends and neighbours across Leeds are being invited to join forces and take part in a three-week experiment exploring different ways to access cars without needing to own them.
Have you noticed that the increasing number of cars in Leeds is causing an impact on health, wellbeing and safety across the city?
Priestley member and Professor of Transport Governance @gregmarsden-leeds.bsky.social is spearheading the βCar When We Need Itβ experiment in response

I'm upbeat about EV sales. But... The average car is now older (by about 16%) than in 2019. There are 33 million cars in the fleet and WHEN we are selling 100% as EVs IF we carry on with current sales, that would replace 2 million a year. Ok, new cars drive more miles but there are 2 trends to watch
