Blade Runner is one of my favorite movies, and the opening scene always hits home - quite literally. Vast tracts of oil refineries dot the harbor communities of LA and western Long Beach. I can't help but think my home inspired this scene (minus the flying cars, of course). #environmentaljustice

Not going to lie - this is a particularly tough moment. And that's exactly the point - to wear us down so much that we give up and acquiesce to whatever comes.

But too much is on the line - we can't give up. We can't acquiesce. We need to stand up!

I get that feeling; Trek will always be home for me. With that said, my appreciation for Star Wars has grown over the years. Especially with the movie Rogue One & the shows Andor & Obi-Wan.

Even the prequel movies are being seen in a different light because of their relevance to today's politics.

#LosAngeles has the smoggiest air in the nation and is at the forefront of the climate crisis - drought, extreme heat & wildfires.

We need local leaders to prioritize #climate & #cleanair, not cut them.

And while we're at it, @mayor.lacity.gov, let's get serious about reducing port pollution!

While I really like IAT's art style (especially for the other characters), I'll always have a soft spot for CTRNF's take on NST-era Crash.

A little glimmer of positive news for #cleanair: the Senate Parliamentarian has ruled that Congress cannot overrule waivers for states that enact tougher emissions standards.

It's almost as if people forgot that the first Trump term was a word that sounds like flusterduck.

Adding on, state and local environmental rules are at risk, too. Not only is Trump seeking to overturn state and local regs, but state and local elected/appointed officials become incredibly weak-kneed as soon as industry plays the "affordability" card.

Glad to see someone like Senator Cory Booker taking the record from someone as odious as Strom Thurmond.

Any time I see anything TIM-related, I always think of this lil' guy..."Phew!"
