From the comments on the original post, it sounds like it was at least a slightly sketchy area back then, so they took a risk on a 'best house in a bad neighborhood' situation and apparently won. But I agree with you, damned if I'm dealing with an HOA at that price point.

I had something like that in a London restaurant once, although I'm fairly sure it was accidental- their signature risotto tasted EXACTLY like Kraft Mac and Cheese, but the way I remember it tasting as a kid not the way I taste it now. Such a proustian rush, I was devastated when it closed.

I think the 'A' is clearer this time. I got the 'E', that felt clear to me, but I think it mostly doesn't read as a tooth because it's sideways? I don't spend enough time with ruminant teeth to identify 'tooth' above 'rock' or 'driftwood' easily, so the orientation threw me.

I have to admit, I kind of like the sprayed edges, but while I would probably choose that version over a plain one, I'm not going to be paying extra for it, whereas I would consider that for extra content. Among other things, I'm not going to be displaying books spine in, so it's of limited value.

Having seen him on TV for years, I'd say he didn't have to pretend, which I assume is why production signed on. He is exactly the sort of person to be completely convinced he knows best despite having no experience, and utterly thrilled to ignore an expert so he can SHOW he knew best.
