I was thinking of this law below, from 2013, month after her death. I know that it took until 2018 to change the constitution.

Also - no masked unidentified brown shirts dragged me off the street for protesting, and didn’t send me to a black site prison to suffer, lying about my “immigrant” status and refusing me the chance to prove I had legal permission to reside there.

I lived near Dublin in 2012, when Savita Halappanavar died from sepsis, prevented from having an abortion to complete a miscarriage. I protested, along with thousands of Irish women, thinking “I’m glad this would never happen in the US.” The Irish changed the law within months. And… here we are.

And just think — they were afraid of Trump years ago. Afraid of his public disdain and his ability to generate a primary opponent. They caved then. And it’s only gotten worse, as it ALWAYS does, with bullies. Grow up. Do your job. Impeach and convict him.

– Remove tariffs hurting families
– Protect disaster response and recovery
- Secure Social Security benefits
- Preserve federal lands

Since when is a Congressperson’s district town hall “Republican” or “Democrat”?? Town halls are for constituents, who are likely from both parties plus unaffiliated. Doesn’t matter what letter follows the Congressperson’s name. 😡

Didn’t the Supreme Court do something to overrule that particular gun law? Related to a J6 defendant, probs. Memory is hazy; they did so many stupid things. It was a freebie that HAD to be given because Republicans had ALREADY exerted so much pressure on DOJ that Hunter was being unreasonably treated, & also because Trump promised that his DOJ would take it even further. In a normal world, Hunter’s punishment would’ve ended when he paid his fines.

And also - because Trump got elected. And Trump is promising “retribution” for his alleged maltreatment. There’s no way Hunter would be treated fairly by Trump’s DOJ; he wasn’t even being treated fairly by the current DOJ!
