Missouri redistricting foes may have dealt big blow to Trump-backed congressional map While a federal court decision Monday gives Missouri Secretary of State Denny Hoskins the chance to reject the referendum, backers of the plan aren’t expecting that move to hold up in state court.

Hoskins told me he could still decide on whether the referendum is lawful in late July. If he says it isn't, I'm almost certain there will be a lawsuit ... and legal experts don't expect him to prevail.

The ideal situation would be for St Louis City Alders to do their job- put a Charter amendment on ballot to add Sheriff to Charter so job and filling vacancy are clear, language similar to Charter of St. Charles County, which also has an elected Sheriff for Circuit Court services only + Police Dept.
