I've been running multiple drives in my PC for 10+ years now, and as a distro hopper I'm constantly installing different distros and playing around with things, and my windows drive has never been affected by it.

Mine is on a separate drive. I boot into it for updates every few months or so. It's so rarely used, I'm not sure why I still keep it.

The basics of a PC as you know it are all there. Yes, there's a learning curve, but if you go with one of the big guns, Ubuntu, Fedora, Mint, you'll find plenty of information out there. You can run it in a live environment or a virtual box to see if you like it before installing it on your drive.

The reason I started using Linux was that I had an old PC that was really struggling to run Windows 7. A work colleague said "put Ubuntu on it" and I had no idea what he was talking about. That was 16 years ago and I'm still loving Linux.

We all watched it, but really he should never have been allowed on set.

Check protondb.com to see if your games will run on Linux. Lots of tips and info to get the best results.

Nothing wrong with Ubuntu. It was my first distro many years ago. Always had a soft spot for it. Currently running Pop-OS which is Ubuntu based.

My mantra is always "use what works for you". Even if you need windows, use windows. Life's too short for crap like OS/distro wars.

Been running Linux since 2009 and never regretted it. Such a calmer user experience compared to Windows.
