10.11.2025 02:04 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Interesting thing that happened today. My 93 yr old mother-in-law didn't know that Alan Partridge was actually a TV character.
After my explanation, she said "I thought he was a bit odd".
And if challenged on it Trump will start talking, pause, ask the reporter who they work for, then shout "you're fake news", and move on to the next question.
All the journalists should make a pact and say "if he asks, say Fox News".
I love that he has the chutzpah to wear that at 15. And that he enjoyed staying quiet for a bit. Hats off to the lad.

To be fair, he was mortified. I'd imagine he still is all these years later
Who are these fuckwits? I can't imagine life without different and exotic flavours on my plate. Why would you cut yourself off from that?

I'll take Traitors over that every time.
And yet you still did.

I have to change channel, or at least mute it. Honest.
So you only watched 10 minutes of it, but it was a "tedious waste of broadcasting time".
This is like reading an album review, when the reviewer has only heard the last track.
It means they LOVE our country far more than you and I do. And don't you dare forget it.

07.11.2025 14:38 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0When they announced the celeb version I wasn't keen. I had visions of a dozen Love Island rejects, or that bloke who almost passed out on Naked Attraction. But I loved every second of this series. Apart from one or two, I was very happy, and impressed, with the celebs.

No "I should've Known" on the list?
If you go with any of the big guns, Debian, Mint, Ubuntu or Fedora, you're going to have a good experience, with a large and helpful community to help out when you need it.
Make a list of must-have software & see if any of it doesn't run on Linux. If that's a deal breaker, stay where you are.
"I installed Linux back in 2009 and everything has been runnng just fine"
On the whole that's pretty much true. Things were fun when I had an Nvidia GPU, but stuff still worked. It was when I got an AMD gpu, I realised how good it can be.
Linux isn't for everyone, but I don't regret a day of it.
Even Richard Briers didn't like Tom.

05.11.2025 11:20 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0If you're not a noob and happy with cli, then go Arch. The archinstall script makers it easy these days, and IMHO, it's the best for setting up just what you want. Performance is also better on my all AMD build. I recently tried Fedora (Gnome) and found it slow and sluggish. Gnome on Arch flies.
