I can't stop thinking about PPB's on the ground response last night.
There is a nationwide magnifying glass on them right now. Their first PR concern the past few months has been to optically distance themselves from federal officers, and more specifically "immigration enforcement."

The original policy is actually pretty good. PPB does give Brady materials to MCDA, but folks from Metropolitan Public Defenders have never seen these materials. Sounds like MCDA isnβt complying with the law.

The policy change is to further protect police officers and make it harder for lawyers to access exculpatory evidence that could help their clients.
